In 2013, after her son left for university, she shaved her head and adopted a minimalist wardrobe, wearing only black and white. In a conversation with the Nod Magazine, Shalini describes this as her turning point, saying it marked her journey into “becoming an aesthete.” Since then, her signature style has returned in full colour, but the experience remains a defining chapter in her life.
