According to the doctors, while Saif was cleared for discharge, they recommended he continue resting for several more days to ensure a full recovery. While Saif is able to walk and talk, his full recovery will take about a month, particularly for the area on his back where he was stabbed. A portion of the knife had broken off inside, and it was taken out during the surgery, which will require a month to heal.
Doctors have advised him to avoid lifting heavy weights, going to the gym, or returning to film shoots, and the need for complete rest.

Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case
Actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times while trying to stop a burglary at his home during the early hours of Thursday, January 16. He suffered six stab wounds, two of which were serious because they were near his spine. The incident happened at 2:15 am when a burglar broke into their Bandra home, attacked their house help, and then Saif when he tried to intervene. Reports say doctors removed 2.5 inches of the knife lodged inside his body. After surgery, Saif was moved to the ICU.
The Mumbai Police arrested a suspect from Thane. They revealed that the alleged attacker, Mohammed Shehzad, is a Bangladeshi national who had entered India illegally. Shehzad was a national-level wrestling champion in Bangladesh.
In his statement, Shehzad said he didn’t know who Saif was. The autorickshaw driver, who brought Saif to hospital, also didn’t realise he was taking a Bollywood actor. The driver said Saif’s elder son, Taimur, accompanied him to the hospital.
