Neha Kakkar Delayed Melbourne Concert Over Small Crowd, Lied About Payment, Say Australian Organisers
According to the organisers, Neha Kakkar was displeased with the sparse crowd in Melbourne and refused to take the stage until the venue was filled.

Singer Neha Kakkar’s recent concert in Melbourne has stirred up quite the storm after a video of her breaking down on stage while the audience booed her went viral. What began as fan disappointment over her three-hour late arrival has now turned into a heated back-and-forth between the artist and the event organisers.
What Neha Kakkar had said about the organisers
Neha previously alleged that she was left high and dry by the organisers — claiming she wasn’t paid, wasn’t provided basic necessities like food or accommodation, and that the sound check was delayed because vendors hadn't been paid. “Do you know that I performed for absolutely free for my Melbourne audience? The organisers ran away with my money and others too. My band was not even given food, hotel, and even water... We didn’t even know if the concert was happening because the organizers stopped picking up my manager’s calls,” Neha had shared.
Organisers refute Neha Kakkar's claims
However, Australian organisers Pace D and Bikram Singh Randhawa have now refuted those claims in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. They alleged that Neha had back-to-back shows with the same company — one in Sydney, which they say went smoothly with 1500-2000 attendees, and the second in Melbourne, which saw a turnout of only around 700 people.
According to the organisers, Neha was displeased with the sparse crowd in Melbourne and refused to take the stage until the venue was filled. “What I got to know from the organiser was that she said that there are just 700 people, so until you fill up the stadium, I won’t perform,” they stated. Many attendees, they added, had paid approximately 300 AUD (around ₹16,000) for tickets and grew increasingly frustrated as they waited for hours.
Addressing the technical concerns Neha raised, Pace D and Bikram claimed that the sound setup was fully functional, with earlier performers completing their acts without any issues. “There were opening acts there and everyone performed and all the set up was done. I don’t think what she was saying is true,” they said.

"Payment was made in advance"
On the subject of payment, the organisers insisted that Neha was compensated well in advance, as is standard practice for concerts in Australia. “Even before the artiste flies to Australia, they are fully paid. 100 percent, she was paid in advance, this is something very basic in Australia,” they said, questioning her claim of not being paid. They also claimed she had accommodation and transport provided, adding, “Where was she staying if there was no hotel? She was traveling in a G Wagon.”
They further revealed that the organiser reportedly faced a loss of nearly 500,000 AUD due to the low turnout and delays. The fallout from the incident has led to them being banned from hosting shows at certain venues.
