Bollywood Wishes The Padma Bhushan Actor Naseeruddin Shah On His Birthday

The fine legendary actor turned 70 today. His colleagues from Bollywood says he’s an inspiration.

Naseeruddin Shah is one of the finest actors the Bollywood industry has witnessed. He swooned away the audience with his unconventional choice of movies and his brilliant acting skills. The ‘Ijaazat’ actor is a notable personality in the Indian ‘parallel cinema’ and has won plenty of awards in his career including 3 National Awards. He has also won an award at the ‘Venice Film Festival’. For his benefaction in the Indian Film Industry, the Government of India has honoured him with the prestigious ‘Padma Shri’ and ‘Padma Bhushan’ awards.

Today, on his 70th birthday, his colleagues from the Bollywood fraternity have been showering him with heart-warming and good wishes for the actor in their social media.

Anil Kapoor ahs posted a picture of him and Naseeruddin during the shoot of their film ‘Who 7 Din’ and expressed how the ‘Sarfarosh’ actor has been an inspiration for him. He took to his Twitter and wrote, “Happy B’day to the actor whose contribution to my career is immense #NaseeruddinShah from doing Woh 7 Din to encouraging me to do my first regional Telugu film, thanks for making me realise that acting has no language & for being a great influence and inspiration for all actors!”

Urmila Matondkar, who co-starred with the actor in the classic movie ‘Masoom’ posted two pictures of her with Shah and Shabana Azmi. She tweeted, “Then n Now.. Wishing Happy Birthday to one of the finest actors of #india #NaseeruddinShah Lots of love,regards n endless respect #actorslife #masoomtimes” See the tweet here:

Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha also took to his Twitter to wish the actor on his birthday. Sinha added how he desires to write a script worthy for the ‘Iqbal’ actor someday. He wrote, “Happy Birthday Naseer Bhai. Keep fit. Keep creating magic. I hope someday I can write a script worthy of you. #NaseeruddinShah.”

On the work front, Naseeruddin Shah will be next seen starring in Anant Mahadevan’s ‘The Storyteller’ reportedly. The film also stars Paresh Rawal in the lead role.
