Amitabh Bachchan To Prakash Raj, Celebs React After Losing Blue Tick On Twitter: 'Hath To Jod Liye Rahe Hum...'

Twitter removed the legacy verified blue ticks from all accounts that did not subscribe to Twitter Blue. Amitabh Bachchan, Vir Das, and others celebs reacted to losing their verification on Twitter. 

Twitter users with verified blue checkmarks are the ones paying for Twitter Blue - a monthly subscription of Rs 650-700.

New Delhi: On Thursday night, Twitter removed the legacy verified blue ticks from all accounts that have not subscribed to it. Many celebrities woke up to missing blue tick on Twitter, including Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and several other public figures.  

Amitabh Bachchan, Vir Das, Nargis Fakhri, and many others celebs reacted to losing their verification on Twitter. 

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, who is very active on Twitter wrote, " T 4623 - ए twitter भइया ! सुन रहे हैं ? अब तो पैसा भी भर दिये हैं हम ... तो उ जो नील कमल होत है ना, हमार नाम के आगे, उ तो वापस लगाय दें भैया , ताकि लोग जान जायें की हम ही हैं - Amitabh Bachchan .. हाथ तो जोड़ लिये रहे हम । अब का, गोड़वा जोड़े पड़ी का ?? (Hey Twitter! Are you listening? I have paid for the subscription service... so please put back the blue lotus in front of my name, so that people know that I am Amitabh Bachchan. I AM REQUESTING with folded hands... now should I fall in your feet?)"

In a series of tweets, Vir Das wrote, “"I like this world. To verify an artist, buy tickets, not ticks...Bye blue tick. I’m okay with someone impersonating me on twitter. You deal with the things they call me ..How about this? If you like what I’m saying…it’s the real me. If you’re pissed off/offended/looking to take action/going to complain to some sort of metaphorical papa…..this account belongs to an unverified impersonator. Cool?"
