Adnan Sami Reveals Reason Behind Leaving Pakistan, Says He Will 'Expose The Reality' Of Government

Singer Adnan Sami has written a note on Twitter attacking the Pakistan government and has accused them of mistreating him.

New Delhi: Singer Adnan Sami has written a note on Twitter attacking the Pakistan government and has accused them of mistreating him. He also said he will expose the Pakistani administration soon. Adnan renounced his Pakistani citizenship and became a citizen of India in 2016. He was born in the UK to a Pakistani father.

The singer took to Twitter and shared a long note alongside his picture. The note read: "Many people ask me why I have such contempt towards Pakistan. The hard truth is that I have absolutely no contempt towards the people of Pakistan who have been good to me. I love everyone who loves me- period."

The singer said that he has issues with Pakistan's establishment because of how he was "treated".

"However, I have major issues with the establishment. Those who truly know me will also know what that establishment did to me for many years which ultimately became one of the big reasons for me to leave Pak," he added.

The Padma Shri awardee concluded: "One day, soon, I will expose the reality of how they treated me which not many know, least of all the general public which will shock many! I have remained silent about all this for many years, but will choose the right moment to tell all..."

Many users supported him in the comment section. One user wrote, “You are such an exceptional human being Adnan. You had met one of my family friends in Chennai years back and I’ve only heard kind things about you.” “

“You are pride of India Adnan ji. Keep mesmerizing the world with your music,” wrote another. Another user tweeted, “India is with you.”

Adnan had recently launched a single titled 'Alvida'; for its announcement, he had deleted all his previous Instagram posts, leaving his fans shocked.

Adnan Sami was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour, in 2020.
