New Delhi: With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) heading towards yet another spectacular win in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be made the party’s parliamentary board member.
According to reports, Adityanath will be made the BJP parliamentary board member between March 18 to 20.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is leading in Gorakhpur Urban, while his deputy Keshav Prasad Maurya is leading from his Sirathu seat.
Maurya, who is leading against Pallavi Patel, took to Twitter to express his delight as the BJP crossed the half-way mark in Uttar Pradesh.
“Public is winning, hooliganism is losing,” he wrote on the micro-blogging platform.
With counting underway for the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly, the BJP-led alliance as per latest trends is leading in over 270 seats.
All the contesting ministers in the current Uttar Pradesh government cabinet are also leading on their respective seats.
The latest trends, however, seem to be disappointing for the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Congress and other parties in the contest.
The Samajwadi Party-led alliance as per latest trends in leading in just 121 seats. Former chief minister and Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav is, however, leading in Karhal Assembly seat.
Yadav too took to Twitter and wrote “sepoys of democracy return only with a certificate of victory!"
“The test is yet to be done Time has come now for 'decisions' Heartfelt thanks to each and every worker, supporter, leader, office bearer and well wisher of SP-gathbandhan for being alert and consciously active day and night at the counting centers! 'Sepoys of democracy' return only with a certificate of victory!,” he wrote.
The BSP is ahead in just six assembly seats, while the Congress is leading in just four seats.
