UP Election 2022: SP Releases Another List Of 56 Candidates, Dara Singh Chauhan To Contest From Ghosi
UP Elections 2022: In the latest development for the upcoming UP Assembly Election, Samajwadi Party (SP) has released another list of 56 candidates.
New Delhi: The Samajwadi Party (SP) has released another list of 56 candidates for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections 2022. According to this list, Dara Singh Chauhan, a former minister in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet, will contest from Ghosi.
On January 16th, Dara left BJP and formally joined the Samajwadi Party in the presence of its national president Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow.
Ahead of the crucial polls, many alliances have been forged while others are switching sides. Akhilesh has included many small parties in the alliance with him.
One of these parties is OP Rajbhar's Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), which contested the 2017 elections in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Earlier, Bhim Army leader Chandrashekhar Azad completed talks with the Samajwadi Party (SP) but no agreement could be reached.

In this list, Brahmashankar Tripathi from Pathardeva of Deoria, Dara Singh Chauhan from Ghosi in Mau, Ramgovind Chaudhary from Bansdih in Ballia, Shailendra Yadav Lalai from Shahganj in Jaunpur, Pooja Pal from Chail of Kaushambi, and Arvind Singh Gope from Dariyabad have been fielded.
Apart from this, Abhay Singh from Goshainganj in Faizabad, Lalji Verma from Katehri in Ambedkar Nagar, and Mata Prasad Pandey from Etawah have been given tickets.
The Samajwadi Party had announced 159 names in its first list of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. The SP had announced the names of 39 candidates in the second list.
With the declaration of its third list of 56 candidates, SP has so far declared 254 candidates for the 403 seats Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.
The list names BSP turncoats Ram Achal Rajbhar and Lalji Verma from Akbarpur and Katehari seats respectively of Ambedkar Nagar, Vinay Tiwari from Chillupar, and Leader of Opposition Ram Govind Chowdhury from his Bansdeeh seat of Ballia district.
Senior SP leader Beni Prasad Verma's son Rakesh Verma has been fielded from Kursi seat (Barabanki) while former minister Arvind Singh Gope and Fareed Mehfooz Kidwai got tickets from Dariyabad and Ram Nagar seats respectively of Barabanki district.
Former assembly speaker Mata Prasad Pandey has got a ticket from Etwa (Siddharth Nagar) while former MLA Abhay Singh and Lucknow Yadav, son for former minister Parasnath Yadav were once again fielded from Gosaiganj seat (Ayodhya) and Malhani (Jaunpur) seats respectively.
