Tripura Voters Lead In Lok Sabha Polls Phase 1, Lakshadweep Trails Far Behind. Check Turnout Figures Till 1 PM
Along with Tripura, other states from the northeastern region including Meghalaya (48.91) and Manipur (46.92) have also witnessed a higher voter turnout percentages.
As first phase of the Lok Sabha elections is underway, the voter turnout from all across the states have witnessed a substantial hike, with Tripura leading at 53.04 per cent till 1 pm, according to the data issued by the Election Commission of India. Along with Tripura, other states from the northeastern region including Meghalaya (48.91) and Manipur (46.92) have also witnessed a higher voter turnout percentages.

According to the poll body's data, West Bengal is at second position with a voter turnout of 50.96 per cent. On the other hand, Lakshadweep experienced the lowest turnout till 1 pm at 29.91 per cent.

Voter Turnout Till 1 PM
Voting percentages for the states taking part in the phase 1 of Lok Sabha elections are: Andaman and Nicobar Islands with 35.70 per cent, Arunachal Pradesh with 37.39 per cent, Assam with 45.12 per cent, Bihar with 32.41 per cent, Chhattisgarh with 42.57 per cent, Jammu and Kashmir with 43.11 per cent, Maharashtra with 32.36 per cent and Madhya Pradesh with 44.43 per cent voter turnout.
Mizoram: 39.71 per cent
Nagaland: 43.62 per cent
Puducherry: 44.95 per cent
Rajasthan: 33.73 per cent
Sikkim: 36.82 per cent
Tamil Nadu: 39.51 per cent
Uttar Pradesh: 36.96 per cent
Uttarakhand: 37.33 per cent
In 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the voter turnout was more than 67 per cent. The poll body led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and ECs Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu are also tracking the progress in the voting in Phase 1 of Lok Sabha elections at ECI headquarters today.
Voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 began on Friday across 102 Lok Sabha constituencies spread over 21 states and Union Territories as the mega seven-phase electoral exercise began at 7 am.
