Telangana elected 17 MPs to the Lok Sabha in the 2024 elections, with 525 candidates contesting across 17 constituencies. Congress, BJP, and BRS faced a fierce competition.

Polls in Telangana elected 17 members in the 18th Lok Sabha elections out of the total of 543 seats. Adilabad, Peddapalle, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Zahirabad, Medak, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Chevella, Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Bhongir, Warangal, Mahabubabad and Khammam are the constituencies demarcated in Telangana for the general elections in India.

With Congress, BJP, and Bharat Rashtra Samithi in the political arena of Telangana, it was a close match between the three, making it crucial for determining the state's stand in the landscape of Indian politics. For the 17 seats, a total of 525 candidates contested in Telangana. Over 3 lakhs of people comprised the number of eligible voters in Telangana, which went to polls on May 13.

Kishan Reddy Wins From Secunderabad 

BJP chief in Telangana and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has retained the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat. He secured his victory by a margin of over 49,000 votes. Reddy received 4,73,012 votes, while Congress candidate D Nagender got 4,23,068 votes.

BJP Retains Nizamabad seat

BJP sitting MP D Arvind retained the Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat in Telangana with a margin of over one lakh votes, defeating his nearest Congress rival T Jeevan Reddy on Tuesday.

Arvind secured 5,92,318 votes, while Jeevan Reddy got 4,83,077 votes.

Congress nominee G Vami Krishna won the Peddapalle LS constituency by defeating his BJP rival Srinivas Gomase by 1,31,364 votes
