Telangana election results 2018: AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi wins from Chandrayangutta constituency
During poll campaigning, Owaisi had repeatedly attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP, RSS and Sangh Pariwar on various issues, including demonetisation, GST, job creation and rising prices.
Hyderabad: AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi emerged victorious from Chandrayan Gutta constituency in Telangana assembly elections. The counting of votes had begun 8 am in the morning. Chandrayangutta is a constituency of Telangana Legislative Assembly and is located in the old city of Hyderabad.
Owaisi's opponents were wrestler-bodybuilder Esa Bin Obaid Misri of Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Shahejadi Sayyad, M Seetha Ram Reddy of Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Mohammed Haji from Bahujana Left Party, Majlis Bachao Tahreek’s Syed Mustafa Mahmood and Sudharshan Malkan of Shiv Sena.
During poll campaigning, Owaisi had repeatedly attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP, RSS and Sangh Pariwar on various issues, including demonetisation, GST, job creation and rising prices.
Several voters said the victory run of Owaisi would continue in Chandrayangutta, which has a total electorate of over 2.86 lakh, PTI reported.
