'Tum Toh Dhokhebaaz Ho, Vaada Karke…': Tejashwi Yadav's Lyrical Attack On PM Modi At I.N.D.I.A. Rally — WATCH

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav went on to quote lyrics of a Hindi film song to attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also likened his guarantees to "Chinese goods" suggesting they only hold value during elections.

In a fiery speech at the I.N.D.I.A. bloc rally held at Ramlila Maidan, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of making hollow promises and indulging in electoral propaganda. Yadav likened Modi's guarantees to "Chinese goods," suggesting they only hold value during elections. Addressing the crowd, he alleged an "undeclared emergency" prevailing in the country and vowed that the opposition would thwart the implementation of the RSS agenda.

Yadav took aim at the government's investigative agencies, labelling the Enforcement Directorate, CBI, and IT department as "cells of the BJP", news agency PTI reported. He highlighted the arrest of political leaders like Hemant Soren and Arvind Kejriwal, asserting that such actions wouldn't deter them.

"Cases have been slapped on me, my father, mother, sisters. We are not the ones to get scared. The manner in which Hemant Soren ji and (Arvind) Kejriwal ji have been arrested (has been seen by everyone). We are not going to be cowed down by their threat. Only lion is locked up. We are lions and we also never shy away from struggle," he remarked, as quoted by news agency PTI.

He went on to quote lyrics of a Hindi film song and remarked, "Tum toh dhokhebaaz ho, vaada karke bhool jaate ho, roz-roz Modi ji tum aisa karoge, janata rooth gayi toh haath maloge. (You are deceitful. You forget after making promises. Every day, Modi ji, you do this. If the people get upset, you will be left with regret)".

Yadav rallied the audience, urging them to vote against the BJP, whom he accused of spreading propaganda and making empty threats, "When people will give a befitting reply Modi ji will be out of power...cast your vote. BJP people are liars don't believe them".

"Modi ji says his guarantee is a strong one, we say that his guarantee is like Chinese goods, use it two-three times and it goes bad. So his guarantees are only meant for elections. They (BJP) only indulge in propaganda and making threats," he added.

Drawing attention to a recent event, Yadav criticised PM Modi's conduct during the Bharat Ratna ceremony for BJP veteran L.K. Advani, criticising that the Prime Minister didn't stand in honour of the President.

"When President was conferring Bharat Ratna to Advani ji, Modi ji was sitting next to Advani ji but did not even stand in honour of the President," he said, as per PTI.

The former Bihar deputy chief minister stressed the unity of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc in defending democracy, the Constitution, and communal harmony, amidst what he described as divisive politics.

"Division is being spread and politics of hate being done and, therefore, we have come together to fight for the people," he said.

Tejashwi Yadav Slams BJP's 'Abki Baar 400 Paar' Slogan, Alleges 'EVM Setting'

Amid loud cheers, Yadav urged voters to decide the fate of the nation, dismissing the BJP's slogan "abki baar 400 paar" as mere rhetoric. He questioned the integrity of the electoral process, suggesting potential tampering with electronic voting machines (EVMs).

"Those who give the slogan 'abki baar 400 par', they can speak anything, but people are the real masters and you have to decide who will rule the country. I want to ask people they (BJP) are giving the slogan and fixing target, saying 'abki baar 400 paar', looks like EVM setting is done. We want to ask people, will it become a reality or they they will be thrown out," he said, asking people to raise their hands in a show of support for removing the NDA from power in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

"The crowd here is telling us that Modi ji, who came like a storm, will also exit like one," he remarked.

Yadav accused the government of neglecting critical issues such as unemployment and inflation, claiming that farmers were bearing the brunt of Modi's policies.

In a display of opposition unity, leaders from various parties came together at the 'Loktantra Bachao' rally. The event featured prominent figures such as Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Akhilesh Yadav, Sitaram Yechury, D Raja, Mehbooba Mufti, and Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, among others.
