Ahead of the results of the Rajasthan election on December, ABP News-CVoter will bring you the exit poll results at 6.30 pm on Thursday. Rajasthan, which voted in a single phase on November 25, witnessed a direct contest between the ruling Congress and BJP and it remains to be seen if the Ashok Gehlot government can buck the "revolving door" trend in the state.
Rajasthan recorded a voter turnout of 75.45 per cent in the Assembly polls, which saw voting at 199 out of the 200 constituencies. Election in Karanpur assembly constituency was postponed due to the death of the Congress candidate.
In the 2018 election, Congress wrested power from the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government, becoming the single largest party with 99 seats. The BJP secured only 73 seats. The Congress then formed the government with the support of some Independents.
ABP-CVoter opinion poll has projected a return of BJP in power, with the saffron party likely to win anywhere between 114-124 seats with a vote share of 44.8 per cent. Congress is likely to come a distant second with 67-77 seats and a vote share of 41.7 per cent.
However, those surveyed by ABP-CVoter said Ashok Gehlot remained the most preferred candidate for the top job. Former BJP CM Vasundhara Raje is the second most preferred candidate.
