Rajasthan assembly elections: EVMs' malfunction delay voting in several areas
The voting was also delayed in Piplai in Madhopur for 20 minutes.
New Delhi: The voting for assembly elections in Rajasthan was disrupted on Friday after reports of malfunctioning EVMs came to light; Due to the malfunctioning in EVMs, voting started late at some polling booths. One such polling booth was Chatrapura in Boondi; where the voting started 40 minutes late.
A similar EVM malfunction was reported from Dungarpur, where the EVM isn’t working at all.
The voting was also delayed in Piplai in Madhopur for 20 minutes.
A similar malfunction was reported during voting for assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh as well, post which Congress has alleged that EVM malfunctions are being reported from areas where majority voters are in favour of Congress.
No such allegations have been levied by Congress this time so far.
