BJP Claims Kharge 'Kept Out' During Priyanka Gandhi's Nomination In Wayanad, Shares Video
The BJP criticized the Congress after a video showed party president Kharge waiting outside during Priyanka Gandhi's nomination filing.
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday took a dig at the Congress party by sharing a video where party president Mallikarjun Kharge was seen peeping through a door while Priyanka Gandhi filed her nomination for the Wayanad bypolls.
Sharing the video on X, BJP's official X handle wrote: “The way Mallikarjun Kharge ji was kept out of the room during Priyanka Vadra’s nomination today... Similarly, after removing the reservation, Rahul Gandhi will deprive the people of Dalit community of respect and opportunities. If the Gandhi family can insult Kharge ji like this, then one can imagine how much hatred they must have for the Dalit community.
BJP leader Rajeev Chandrashekhar also questioned Congress for allegedly disrespecting Kharge.

“Where were you @kharge Saheb? When first family Priyanka Vadra ji was filing her nomination as Cong candidate for #Wayanad Kept outside - bcoz hes not family," said the BJP leader in a post on X.
Meanwhile, photos and videos from the nomination filing posted on social media showed Kharge seated along with Senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

Congress Hits Out
Hitting out at BJP's allegations, Congress said that it was "unfortunate" that the BJP-led central government and ministers are "forced to resort to falsehood and lies."
"What happened in Wayanad, the district magistrate ensured and said that they have a rule that there cannot be more than five people in the room at one time. So you see in the video that they take turns - when two people go out or one person goes out, another one comes in so that at any point of time there are no more than five people," said Congress leader Pranav Jha.
"So what the Congress president did, he patiently waited. What you see is that after a while, Congress President Mallikajun Kharge and KC Venugopal inside. This is what the video depicts. But, the whole bandwagon of BJP is forced, is orchestrated to lie, to defame, to divert the attention of the people from real issues of this country," he added.
