At a press conference in Bengaluru, Devaraje Gowda said that BJP leader Shivarame connected the call between him and Shivakumar but refused to reveal more details. However, he additionally voiced skepticism regarding the ongoing investigation conducted by the Special Investigation Team, which was established by the state government to delve into the sex scandal purportedly implicating Prajwal.
He asserted that IPS officer Suman D Pennekar had urged him to retract his statement provided to the SIT implicating Shivakumar, a request he adamantly declined. Moreover, he refrained from disclosing the accusations put forth during his interrogation by the SIT.
Meanwhile, Prajwal, the grandson of Deve Gowda, currently holds the position of Member of Parliament from Hassan and is running for re-election. Following the polling in Hassan on April 26, Prajwal departed the country. Meanwhile, his father, H D Revanna, who serves as an MLA from Holenarasipur, was arrested on Saturday.
