No spat with Digvijaya Singh; Modi govt. knows only to mulct taxpayers: Scindia
Scindia believes Modi government has failed in implementing GST properly as traders are not getting their refund. "The Centre only known to mulct the taxpayers." He said those who are criticising the Congress for not doing enough in the last 6 decades must realise that "under leadership of Manmohan Singh, GDP grew at 7.8%. But look at the figures now. The situation will again change when Congress forms the government."
New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday trashed reports of his fight with Digvijaya Singh over ticket distribution in the presence of party chief Rahul Gandhi. He denied reports of the Congress chief setting up a three-member committee with Ashok Gehlot, Veerappa Moily and Ahmed Patel to resolve the burgeoning crisis.
In an exclusive interview with ABP News, Scindia said the false news surprised both as the relations between them have always been cordial. He said all party leaders are united and there was no truth to the reports of the verbal duel. Singh had also refuted media reports in a tweet of the alleged spat.
Scindia said the party wants to build a new Madhya Pradesh after winning elections, a state where it's not been in power since 2003. The Congress leader said the election results of the five states will be a testament to the waning popularity of PM Narendra Modi. "People of Madhya Pradesh demand change and the results will depict on December 11,"he said exuding confidence.
To a question by a Twitter user on Congress'stand on the Ram mandir issue, Scindia said the matter is sub-judice and the Congress will abide by the Supreme Court's verdict. Lashing out at the BJP, Scindia said the saffron party has a customary practice of raking up the Ram temple matter every five years during elections.
