'No Ray Of Justice In Bengal': PM Modi Attacks Mamata Govt Over ‘Unilateral Action’ In Murshidabad Riots

Ahead of West Bengal elections, PM Modi criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Durgapur, alleging they hinder development, investment, and job creation.

Months ahead of assembly polls in West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi came down heavily on the ruling Trinamool Congress. Speaking at a rally in Durgapur, PM Modi said that there will be real development in Bengal only when the TMC government is removed from power. He claimed that TMC is against investment and job creation in the state.

Speaking on the riots in Murshidabad, Prime Minister Modi said such incidents happen in the state, and police take unilateral action. He also claimed that there is no ray of justice in Bengal and that the state government cannot protect the lives of the people of the state.

Adding further, he claimed that money is being demanded from businessmen, the people of the TMC threaten them, and the 'Gunda Tax' of the TMC obstructs investment in the state. PM Modi also said that thousands of teachers are unemployed due to the corruption of the TMC government and that the court has also called it a systematic fraud.  Mentioning the recent causes of sexual assault, PM Modi said that injustice is happening with the daughters in West Bengal under the rule of the TMC government, and the hospitals are also not safe for the daughters in West Bengal.

“TMC shielded the criminals in the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder incident. The nation did not recover from this incident, and in another college, an atrocity was committed on a daughter and in this case, the accused has a connection with the TMC…,” PM Modi said, as quoted by news agency ANI.

He also added that the TMC government has put the identity of Bengal at stake for it's own benefit.

"...For its own benefit, the TMC government has put the identity of West Bengal at stake. Infiltration is being encouraged in the state. Fake documents are being made for the infiltrators... This is a big threat to West Bengal and the country... In the politics of appeasement, TMC is crossing all limits...Action will be taken against those who are not citizens of the nation...," he said.

PM Modi also launched a slew of development projects worth Rs 5,400 crore in West Bengal, unveiling major initiatives across the oil and gas, power, rail and road sectors aimed at boosting infrastructure, connectivity and clean energy in the region.
