MP Polls: BJP Leader Injured In Stone Pelting, Congress Alleges Saffron Party's Hand In Jhabua Violence
In two separate incidents of violence, a BJP candidate was injured after stones were pelted in MP's Bhind where Congress has alleged that BJP is involved in violence in Jhabua.

Madhya Pradesh Elections 2023: Amid the ongoing polls on the state's 230 assembly seats, reports of stone pelting have come forth from different regions of the state. Bharatiya Janta party (BJP) candidate Rakesh Shuka sustained injuries after stones were pelted in the Manhar village of Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district on Friday. The glass of Shukla's car was reportedly broken as well in the incident. Heavy police personnel have been rushed to the spot.
Meanwhile, in a similar incident in Jhabua, the Congress has alleged that BJP workers pelted stones at Congress leaders and allegedly stopped the cadre's vehicle. Jhabua's Congress candidate Vikant Bhuria said there is 'Goonda Raj' in Jhabua.

Apart from this, BJP workers allegedly stopped Congress MP Nakul Nath, son of former CM and party leader Kamal Nath, from entering a poll booth in Bararipura in Chhindwara.
Violence has also been reported from two polling booths -- 147 and 148 -- of the Dimani Assembly constituency at Mirghan in the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh where two groups resorted to stone pelting, police said. According to ANI, one person was injured in the incident. Police have said the situation was under control and adequate security deployment has been made at the spot following the clashes.
Police have made security arrangements across all the polling booths in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh as voting is underway in both states. Voting is underway in Chhattisgarh for the phase-2 elections on 70 seats and the main contenders in both states are Congress and BJP.
