Suresh Gopi, Lone BJP MP From Kerala, Wants To Opt Out Of Modi Council Of Ministers, Cites Busy Film Schedule

Suresh Gopi, the lone BJP MP from Kerala won the Lok Sabha polls from the Thrissur seat.

Bharatiya Janata Party MP Suresh Gopi has said he wants to opt out of the minsiterial duties, a day after being sworn-in as a Minister of State on Sunday. The Thrissur MP cited his film schedule as the reason to step down from the Union cabinet. 

"I expect I will be relieved from the Union ministry. I have to finish my movies," Gopi told Manorama News. "Let the central leadership decide. As the MP, I will perform to the best of my abilities in Thrissur. I had maintained that I do not want the cabinet position," he said.
