As per the ABP-CVoter exit poll, the Zoramthanga-led Mizo National Front (MNF) in Mizoram might not secure an outright majority but could emerge as the largest party. The hill state, under MNF rule since 2018, voted on November 7. Mizoram expects a three-way contest among the MNF, the primary opposition Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) and the Congress, despite the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) participation.

As per the ABP-CVoter exit poll projections, MNF, the prominent party in the hill state, is likely to secure around 15 to 21 seats. The regional ZMP is expected to clinch 12 to 18 seats, while the Congress may secure 2 to 8 seats. The BJP, with a limited presence in Mizoram, is projected to secure 0 to 5 seats.

During the Mizoram Election 2023, a significant 77 percent voter turnout was recorded as citizens cast their votes for the 40 assembly seats on November 7. The eagerly awaited counting of votes is scheduled for December 3.

In the 2018 elections, the Mizo National Front (MNF) clinched a commanding victory, securing 27 out of 40 seats. Independent candidates triumphed in 8 seats, while the Congress secured 4 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured just one seat in the electoral fray.
