Maharashtra Elections: Mahayuti Allies To Decide CM's Name After Polls, Says Amit Shah
Shah made the remark after unveiling the party's manifesto, 'Sankalp Patr' for the November 20 polls in Maharashtra.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday that the Mahayuti alliance will decide on the name of the Chief Minister in Maharashtra after the elections are done.
Speaking at a press conference, Shah said the three ruling Mahayuti alliance partners — Bharatiya Janata Party, Shiv Sena, and Nationalist Congress Party — will sit together after the elections to decide the CM candidate.
"Eknath Shinde is currently leading the govt in Maharashtra, he is our CM," Shah said.
"All the three parties will sit together after the election to decide the next CM for Maharashtra, we will not give any chance to Sharad Pawar," he said in response to a question on the same.

Shah made the remark after unveiling the party's manifesto, 'Sankalp Patr' for the November 20 polls. The party has promised to create 25 lakh jobs over the next five years, raise the the Ladki Bahin Yojna allowance from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100 and a loan waiver for farmers.
The manifesto was launched in the presence of Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, state BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Mumbai BJP chief Ashish Shelar, Union Minister Piyush Goyal and other leaders of the party.
Fadnavis called the manifesto a blueprint for the state's development saying BJP has a vision of "Viksit Maharashtra for Viksit Bharat."
AI training in government schools, a skill census, and support to entrepreneurs in the state have been also promised by the party in its manifesto.
During the press conference, Shah reiterated that BJP will not allow religion-based reservations in the country.
Elections to the 288-member Maharashtra Legislative Assembly will be held in a single phase on November 20 and the votes will be counted on November 23, along with votes polled for Jharkhand Assembly.
