Maharashtra Elections: Shiv Sena (UBT) Releases First List Of 65 Candidates, Fields Aaditya Thackeray From Worli

The elections in Maharashtra is scheduled to be held on November 20, while the results will be declared on November 23.

Shiv Sena (UBT) has released its first list of 65 candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra elections. Aaditya Thackeray has been fielded from Worli.

Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT) on Wednesday released a list of 65 candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections, naming Aaditya Thackeray from Worli. Thackeray's cousin and Yuva Sena leader Varun Sardesai will contest from Bandra (East) seat in central Mumbai.

Meanwhile, the party has fielded Kedar Dighe from Thane's Kopri Panchpakhadi seat, where he will be contesting against Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Dighe is the nephew of late Sena leader Anand Dighe, who is considered to be Shinde's political mentor.

Shiv Sena (UBT) has renominated most of its MLAs who sided with Thackeray after the split in the Shiv Sena in 2022.

The Maharashtra Assembly elections will be held on November 20 in a single phase. The results will be declared on November 23.
