'Agenda Of Congress Is Use And Throw': PM Modi Rips Into Oppn At NDA Rally With Naidu In Andhra

The rally marked the first joint public address of NDA partners in Andhra Pradesh in 10 years.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised the alliance’s commitment to advancing both regional aspirations and national progress during a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) election rally in Boppudi village of Palnadu district, in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi asserted that in the third term after the upcoming polls, the nation would witness the implementation of several significant decisions.

He also outlined the NDA's vision for 'Viksit Bharat' and emphasised the goal of 'Viksit Andhra Pradesh'. In his address, he also highlighted the remarkable achievement of lifting 25 crore people out of poverty over the past decade.

Notably, the rally marked the first joint public address of NDA partners in Andhra Pradesh in 10 years.

The rally, named Prajagalam, served as the inaugural NDA election meeting in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the simultaneous Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha polls scheduled for May 13. The event witnessed the presence of prominent leaders, including TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, marking the first instance of all three leaders sharing the stage in a rally for the 2024 polls.

Slamming the Congress, PM Modi accused the party of adopting a 'use and throw' strategy towards its alliance partners. "The agenda of the grand old party is to 'use and throw' its alliance partners," PM Modi said. He also expressed confidence in the NDA's performance, predicting a landslide victory with over 400 seats in the Lok Sabha polls scheduled for June 4.

"With the blessing of Tridev (the three Gods), India will take bigger decisions in party's (BJP-led NDA) third term of being in office. This time, the election results will come out on June 4. The entire nation is now saying, '4 June ko, 400 paar'," PM Modi said.

Reiterating the NDA's commitment to fostering development, PM Modi emphasised the importance of a double-engine government in Andhra Pradesh to accelerate the state's progress. He also highlighted the global recognition of the NDA government's developmental initiatives.

Notably, the NDA partners finalised their seat-sharing arrangement for the Lok Sabha and state polls during a lengthy discussion held at Naidu's residence in Undavalli on March 11. According to the agreement, the BJP will contest six Lok Sabha and 10 assembly seats, while the TDP will vie for 17 parliamentary and 144 state seats.
