Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Low Voter Turnout In First 2 Hours Of Last Phase Voting, Himachal Leads
As per the data published by the Election Commission of India, a voter turnout of 11.31 per cent was recorded at 9 am for 57 seats across eight states and Union Territories.
The voting in the first two hours of seventh phase of Lok Sabha polls remained brisk with Himachal Pradesh leading and Odisha recording the lowest voter turnout. The voting began at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. Simultaneous voting for 42 Assembly constituencies in Odisha is also underway.
The states where voting is taking place includes Bihar (8), Himachal Pradesh (4), Jharkhand (3), Odisha (6), Punjab (13), Uttar Pradesh (13), West Bengal (9), and one seat of Chandigarh.

"Together, let's make our democracy more vibrant and participative," the prime minister said on X.
"Today is the final phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. As 57 seats across 8 states and UTs go to the polls, calling upon the voters to turnout in large numbers and vote. I hope young and women voters exercise their franchise in record numbers," he added.
