Pemmasani, Sharmila Reddy, Konda Vishweshar — Know Richest Lok Sabha Candidates In Andhra, Telangana
Lok Sabha elections: Candidates in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have declared massive wealth including TDP's Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, Congress's YS Sharmila Reddy, and BJP's Konda Vishweshar Reddy.
Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, candidates from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have declared staggering amounts of assets, garnering attention for massive wealth amid the electoral battles.
TDP's Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, contesting from Andhra Pradesh's Guntur Lok Sabha constituency as part of the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance, has disclosed assets worth a staggering Rs 5,598.65 crore, making him one of the wealthiest contenders in the fray.
Following him, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, standing for the TDP in Andhra Pradesh's Nellore, alongside his wife Vemireddy Prashanti, who is contesting from Kovur assembly seat, have together declared assets totaling Rs 715.62 crore.
Andhra Congress state unit chief YS Sharmila Reddy has not lagged behind, revealing assets valued at Rs 182 crore. However, the declaration includes Sharmila Reddy's loans amounting to Rs 82.5 crore from her brother, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and Rs 19.5 lakh from his wife, YS Bharathi Reddy. Sharmila is contesting from Kadapa.
In Telangana, the trend continues as BJP's Konda Vishweshar Reddy, contesting from Chevella, has declared assets worth Rs 4,568 crore. His wife, Sangeeta Reddy, boasts assets worth Rs 3,208 crores, while their dependent son adds another Rs 108 crore to the family's wealth. The couple also possesses assets in the form of Rs 11 crore worth of diamonds and gold.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024 In Telangana And Andhra Pradesh
The political landscape in Telangana is gearing up for an intense battle as polling for the state's 17 Lok Sabha seats is scheduled for the fourth phase on May 13. With the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) recently losing its state government under K Chandrashekar Rao's leadership, the stage is now set for a three-cornered contest, with the Congress resurgent after its success in the assembly polls and the BJP seeking to expand its footprint.
In the Lok Sabha election battleground of Andhra Pradesh, while the YSRCP stands independently, the TDP, Janasena, and BJP form part of the NDA coalition. On the other hand, the Congress has announced its alliance with its I.N.D.I.A partners, CPI and CPI(M), in the state.
The 18th Lok Sabha elections across all 25 seats of Andhra Pradesh are scheduled for the fourth phase, slated for May 13, 2024 (Sunday).
