PM Modi To Address Election Rally At Mumbai's Shivaji Park On May 17: Bawankule

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address an election rally at Mumbai's Shivaji Park on May 17, Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule said on Wednesday.Bawankule was speaking to reporters after meeting MNS chief Raj Thackeray, who has announced  his party's support to BJP-led NDA's candidates in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls.

PM Modi will address a poll rally at Shivaji Park on Friday (May 17). I invited Raj Thackeray for the rally and he has agreed to attend it, said the BJP leader.Thackeray's support (to NDA candidates) and his appeal to voters will reflect in the (poll) outcome. 

Kharge, Thackeray, Pawar & Kejriwal To Address I.N.D.I.A Bloc Rally In Mumbai On May 17

As the Lok Sabha elections' fifth phase campaign enters the crescendo stage, top leaders of the national opposition alliance INDIA bloc and Maha Vikas Aghadi will address a mammoth rally here on Friday. Among the top leaders who will attend and address the public meeting at Bandra Kurla Complex grounds include Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Nationalist Congress Party (SP) President Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena (UBT) President and ex-CM Uddhav Thackeray.

Besides, there will be Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and representatives of other constituents of the INDIA-MVA alliance. In addition, other senior MVA leaders like Nana Patole, Sanjay Raut and Jayant Patil are expected to speak at the rally, coming just three days ahead of the fifth phase of Lok Sabha polls on May 20, covering 13 constituencies, including the crucial Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

An MVA leader claimed that Friday's rally would be the biggest combined opposition show of strength in the state since the poll campaign started and people are expected to participate from all over the state.

'Modi Brought 25 Crore People Out Of Poverty', Says PM Modi In Mumbai Rally

While addressing a public rally in Mumbai, Maharashtra, PM Modi said, "Congress kept saying for 60 years that they will eradicate poverty... In their 20-25 minute speech from the Red Fort, the Prime ministers of this family spoke on poverty... They made poor people feel as if they were born to live in poverty... In 10 years, Modi brought 25 crore people out of poverty. What seemed impossible, became possible", reported ANI.

While addressing a public rally, in Mumbai, Maharashtra PM Modi said, "The government who did not trust the capabilities of Indians, was inefficient... I have seen Prime Ministers who called Indians lazy from the Red Fort... PMs with such a mentality cannot develop India. Under the guidance of Gandhiji, if the Congress had been dissolved after independence, the country would have been 5 decades ahead from now", reported ANI.
