Amit Shah To Shivraj Chouhan: List Of Big Winners In Lok Sabha Elections 2024

Lok Sabha Elections: The 2024 Lok Sabha polls witnessed several leaders, including Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi, registering thumping victories with massive vote margins.

Lok Sabha Elections: The counting of votes in the Lok Sabha elections took place on Tuesday. According to the Election Commission. The Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA received majority, however, the saffron party failed to cross the 272 seat mark and managed to win 240 seats. The Congress secured 99 seats and remained the second largest party in the polls.

The Lok Sabha polls 2024 unfolded a lot of surprises. The saffron party, which secured a majority in the previous two LS polls, suffered a major setback in Uttar Pradesh and also witnessed a reduction in seats in Rajasthan. As far as the Congress is concerned, the party increased its seats in the lower house and also reclaimed its bastion, Amethi.

The 2024 Lok Sabha polls witnessed many leaders registering thumping victories with massive vote margins. Here's the list of candidates who garnered a massive number of votes and made their way to the Lower House of Parliament. 

1) Shankar Lalwani: BJP's MP from Indore Shankar Lalwani received a massive mandate in the Lok Sabha polls and he secured a resounding win by a margin of 11.72 lakh votes. 

2) Shivraj Singh Chouhan: Former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who contested Lok Sabha polls from Vidisha Lok Sabha seat, registered a massive victory by a margin of 8,21,408 votes. He defeated Congress's Pratapbhanu Sharma.

3) CR Patil: BJP leader CR Patil bagged the Navsari Lok Sabha seat by a margin of 7,73,551 votes. He defeated Naishadhbhai Bhupatbhai Desai.

4) Amit Shah: Union Minister Amit Shah was also among the big winners. He contested the elections from Gujarat's Gandhinagar. The former BJP chief defeated Congress's Sonal Patel by a margin of 7,44,716.

5) Abhishek Banerjee: Trinamool Congress leader and National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee garnered massive number of votes to register a thumping victory from state's Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha seat. He secured a thumping victory against Abhijit Das by a margin of 7,10,930 votes.   

6) Hemang Joshi: BJP's Hemang Joshi, who was contesting electons from Gujarat's Vadodara, won the seat by a margin of 5,82,000 votes.

7) Mahesh Sharma: Incumbent MP Mahesh Sharma from Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddha Nagar retained his seat by defeating Samajwadi Party's Mahendra Singh Nagar by a margin of 5,59,472 votes.   

8) Rahul Gandhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who was contesting the Lok Sabha elections from two seats bagged both by a huge margin. The former Congress chief secured victories from Congress bastion Raebareli and Waynad by a margin of 3,90,030 votes and 3,64,422 votes respectively.
