BJP Third List Of Lok Sabha Candidates: Annamalai & Tamilisai Soundararajan Named Among 9 Leaders

The BJP had earlier named 267 candidates in two lists released on March 2 and 13.

The BJP has named Tamil Nadu party president Annamalai and former Telangan governor Tamilisai Soundararajan in its third list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. A total of 9 candidates have been named in its third list. Check out all the 9 names below. 

Soundararajan will go up against AIADMK's J Jayavardhan, while Annamalai will face DMK's Ganapathi P Raj Kumar and AIADMK's Singai G. Ramachandran.

The BJP had earlier named 267 candidates in two lists released on March 2 and 13. The first list with 195 names featured PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Kiren Rijiju, Tapir Gao, Rajeev Chandrashekhar, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Ajay Mishra Teni, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, and Nisith Pramanick, among others.

The BJP's second list had 72 names, including those of Manohar Lal Khattar, Anurag Singh Thakur, Trivendra Singh Rawat, DK Aruna, Pankaja Munde, Bharati Pawar, Tejasvi Surya, PC Mohan, and BY Raghavendra.

The third list has 9 candidates from Tamil Nadu. The Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu will be held in a single phase on April 19. The results will be declared on June 4.

The BJP had earlier allied with the PMK in Tamil Nadu and agreed to cede 10 seats to it. The BJP plans to contest 20 of the 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu. The BJP has so far revealed 9 names in Tamil Nadu.

The Congress, too, released its third list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections on Thursday. As many as 57 candidates were named in the third list. among the prominent names Adhir Ranjan Choudhary from Bahrampur (West Bengal), Ve Vaithilingam from Puducherry, Sonal Patel, and Nepal Mahato.
