Jharkhand Election: Shah Vows To ‘Drive Out Illegal Immigrants’, Calls Soren Govt ‘Most Corrupt In Country’
The Union Home Minister was in Jharkhand to flag off BJP's 'Parivartan Yatra' from Sahibganj's Police Line Ground ahead of the Assembly elections in the state.
Union Minister Amit Shah on Friday slammed the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led government in Jharkhand for engaging in vote bank politics and promised to drive out illegal immigrants out of the state if the Bharatiya Janata Party is voted to power. The Union Home Minister was in Jharkhand to flag off BJP's 'Parivartan Yatra' from Sahibganj's Police Line Ground ahead of the Assembly elections in the state.
Blaming JMM, Congress for not stopping infiltration out of "vote bank fear", he said: "Infiltrators are the vote banks of Lalu Yadav's party, JMM, and Rahul Baba's Congress. They don't stop infiltration out of their vote bank fear...The time has come to show the corrupt JMM-dispensation exit door...We want to change Jharkhand."
"In our state, in Santhal, the number of infiltrators is increasing and they are outnumbering tribal people," Shah said at a rally after flagging off the yatra.

He urged people to choose a government which would drive out the illegal immigrants instead of the one who supports them.
"The Hemant Soren government is indulged in 'ghuspathiya kalyan' (infiltrators welfare) instead of public welfare...Our manifesto provides free treatment facilities up to Rs 10 lakh to poor people aged 75 and above," Shah said.
Shah further lashed out at the Hemant Soren-led government, calling it the "most corrupt govt in the country". Shah alleged that the Soren's JMM government indulged in multiple scams, including Rs 1,000 crore in MNREGA, Rs 1,000 crore in mining, Rs 600 crore in land and Rs 40 crore liquor scam. He also accused it of usurping Army land.
"Have you people ever seen Rs 350 crore?... If you check the BJP's website you will see the incident when Rs 350 crores was recovered from Congress leader Dhiraj Sahu's home. I want to ask Hemant Soren if that amount belongs to Dhiraj Sahu. No, it was the money of the poor youths of Santhal," he added.

Shah also visited Jharkhandi Dham in Giridih district to launch the programme for the party's Dhanbad division. During a public meeting there, he said that the BJP will form government in Jharkhand with two-third majority. He reiterated that if infiltration was not checked then the illegal immigants will become majority in the state in the next 25-30 years.
The BJP will launch six 'Parivartan' processions aiming to reach out to the people in the state and expose the failures of Soren's ruling government in Jharkhand. These yatras will cover 5,400 km across 81 assembly segments in 24 districts and will conclude on October 2.
Around 50 national and state-level leaders of the BJP, including chief ministers of several states, are expected to participate in these rallies, news agency PTI reported.
