Bengal Election Results 2021 Winners List Live: Mamata Banerjee Accuses Election Commission Of Working At The BJP's Behest | Appeals For Recount

West Bengal Election Results 2021 Winners List Live Updating: Overall counting of votes is underway for the 292 Assembly Seats of West Bengal. Here is the list of winners declared by the Election Commission of India so far...

West Bengal Election Results 2021 Winners List Live Updating: The long wait is over as counting for the 292 assembly seats of West Bengal is underway. It was one long election season for the state as it witnessed polling taking place in 8 phases beginning March 27 and ending on April 29. A long election that was expected to go down the wire turned out to be pretty one-sided. Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress has won West Bengal. It was a day that made TMC supporters very happy. TMC crossed the halfway mark in the projections by quite a margin. By 10 pm, TMC had a lead on 216 seats while BJP had a lead on 74 seats. But the prestige seat of Nandigram was won by Suvendu Adhikari who defeated Mamata Banerjee with less than 2000 votes in a close contest. Although TMC supporters have alleged that there was a problem while counting votes.

Mamata Banerjee reacts after her party's win. She asks supporters to follow the Covid guidelines and return back to their homes after her victory. "It's the win of West Bengal," says Mamata Banerjee. But there's a twist in the tale.

The Congress-Left alliance looks decimated with just 1 seat so far.

After TMC's victory in West Bengal, BJP's office in Hoogly was set on fire. BJP claims that it was done by the TMC supporters, while TMC has refuted the claims.

Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress is racing way ahead in the projections so far. As of 6:30 pm on 2 May 2021, TMC is ahead on 219 seats while BJP is ahead in 71 seats. Let's look at the full list of winners announced so far.

In the press conference after her victory, Mamata Banerjee pledges to fight against the Central government. She says that the fight against the Covid virus will go on. She also said that she accepts the verdict of Bengal but also criticized the Election Commission of India (ECI) for it's conduct. TMC supporters cried of foul play at the counting of votes.
