ABP-CVoter Snap Poll: Rahul Gandhi Claims Condition Of Minorities Not Good In India. Here's What Voters Say

ABP-CVoter Snap Poll: A snap poll was conducted to gauge the opinion of voters on Rahul Gandhi's statement over condition of minorities in the country.

ABP-CVoter Snap Poll: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again raised the issue of safety of minorities in the country saying that the religious and ethnic minorities in the country are under attack in the current National Democratic Alliance-ruled government at the Centre. Addressing a public meeting in Ladakh’s Kargil on Friday, the Congress MP said Muslims are “under attack” in the country and so are the people of Manipur and people belonging to the Dalit community. His remark came as a response to a question by a youth on what will the Congress do to improve the situation of Muslims in the country if elected to power in 2024.

To gauge the opinions of voters on the issue, ABP News and CVoter conducted a snap poll to know what do the supporters of ruling NDA and the Opposition think about it.

Responding to the snap poll, a total of 31.5 per cent respondents “totally agree” that “the conditions of minorities in the country is not so good” while 15.7 per cent agree to some extent with the statement given by Rahul Gandhi.

A whopping 43.2 per cent of voters “do not agree at all'' that the situation of minorities is not good in the country while 9.6 per cent were not sure about the statement.

The Opposition has been targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party government on the issue of minorities in the country. It created a ruckus in the Parliament in the recently-concluded Monsoon Session asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of Manipur which has been in the grip of ethnic violence for nearly four months now.

The Opposition also cornered the government on Nuh violence, the incident of an RPF constable shooting four people in a train including his senior and Muslim passengers, harassment of a Dalit man in Madhya Pradesh.
