2019 LS polls: Udit Raj finds spot in Congress list of star campaigners for Punjab, Chandigarh

The Congress on Tuesday released the list of star campaigners for Punjab and Chandigarh. The list comprises of many eminent Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Manmohan Singh, Navjot Singh Sidhu.

The Congress on Tuesday released the list of star campaigners for Punjab and Chandigarh. The list comprises of many eminent Congress leaders including party president Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Manmohan Singh, Navjot Singh Sidhu. The newly inducted Udit Raj, who left the BJP to join the Congress is very much part of the list. Punjab and Chandigarh are going to polls in the last and seventh phase of the Lok Sabha Elections that will be held on May 19. In the list 40 star campaigners, the Congress is once again backing the Gandhis to take on BJP's star power in Sunny Deol. Right from UPA chief Sonia Gandhi, Congress national president Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh are among those “stars” who will campaign in Punjab and Chandigarh to give a boost  to the party’s poll campaign. Besides, former Union Minister and party’s candidate from Chandigarh Lok Sabha constituency, Pawan Kumar Bansal, has also been included as star campaigner. Party candidate from Sri Anandpur Sahib Manish Tewari’s name was also included in the list.
