Satara: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Shrimant Chh. Udayanraje Pratapsinha Bhonsale from Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) won the elections by a margin of 366594 votes. The polling / voting in Satara constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Shiv Sena#s Narendra Patil and Nationalist Congress Party#s Udayanraje Bhosale

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 23 out of the 48 parliamentary seat with 27.3 percent vote share while the Shiv Sena managed to win just 18 seats with a 20.6 percent vote share.

Udayanraje Pratapsinha Bhonsale of the Nationalist Congress Party as he defeated Purushottam Jadhav by a margin of 366594 votes.

• 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Nationalist Congress Party and Shiv Sena here Nationalist Congress Party candidate defeated his Shiv Sena counterpart with a difference of 3957 votes.
• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha poll, Nationalist Congress Party candidate defated Shiv Sena candidate in one-sided contest. Here, NCP candidate Laxmanrao Pandurang Jadhav Patil attained 313325 votes and SHS's Hindurao N Naik Nimbalkar bagged 188554 votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Shiv Sena candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Abhaysinh Shahumaharaj Bhosale attained 389238 votes and SHS's Hindurao Nilkanthrao Naik Nimbalkar bagged 207762 votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Shiv Sena candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 11809 votes. Here, Shiv Sena leader Naik Nimbalkar Hindurao Nilkanthrao attained 190526 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Bhosale Prataprao Baburao bagged 178717 votes
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Shiv Sena candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Bhosale Prataprao Baburao attained 261129 votes and SHS's Hindurao N. Naik Nimbalkar bagged 101917 votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defated JD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Bhosale Prataprao Baburao attained 369467 votes and JD's D. D. Ranavare bagged 52476 votes.
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated ICS candidate by a margin of 95520 votes INC candidate Bhosale Prataprao Baburao had got 270110 while ICS got Nimbalkar Yashwant Singh Appasaheb Alias Dadraje Khardekar votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 53033 votes INC(U) candidate Chavan Yashvantrao Balawantrao had got 223213 while INC(I) got Patil Shalini Vasantrao votes.
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated BLD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Chavan Yashvantrao Balwantrao attained 260562 votes and BLD's Lavangare Nitin Jagannath bagged 68961 votes.
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated PWP candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Yeshawantro Balawantrao Chavan attained 246100 votes and PWP's Keshavrao Patloji Pawar bagged 69270 votes.
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated PWP candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Y. B. Chavan attained 207895 votes and PWP's K. P .Pawar bagged 80059 votes.
• 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated CPI candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Kisan Mahadeo Veer attained 165879 votes and CPI's Nana Ramchandra Patil bagged 62188 votes.
• 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate had defeated INC candidate by a margin of 68449 votes CPI candidate Patil Nana Ramchandra had got 145194 while INC got Altekar Ganesh Sadashiv votes.
• 1951 Lok Sabha Elections: In India's Very First Lok Sabha Polls, Indian National Congress candidate defeated PWP candidate with a difference of 37224 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Altekar Ganesh Sadashiv attained 91319 votes and PWP candidate Nalavade Ramchandra Manohar bagged 54095 votes
