Nainital-Udhamsingh Nagar: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bhagat Singh Koshyari from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 284717 votes. The polling / voting in Nainital-Udhamsingh Nagar constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Ajay Bhatt and Congress Party#s Harish rawat

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 5 out of the 5 parliamentary seat with 55.3 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just seats with a 34 percent vote share.

केंद्र सरकार ने गोवा के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर पर्रिकर के निधन पर सोमवार को राष्ट्रीय शोक का ऐलान किया है. गृह मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि राष्ट्रीय राजधानी, केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों और राज्य की राजधानियों में कल राष्ट्रध्वज आधा झुका रहेगा. वहीं, सोमवार को सुबह 10 बजे केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल की बैठक भी बुलाई गई है. मनोहर पर्रिकर का अंतिम संस्कार राजकीय सम्मान के साथ किया जाएगा.

आईआईटी बॉम्बे ने भी पर्रिकर के निधन पर शोक व्यक्त किया है और कहा है, ‘’गोवा के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर पर्रिकर का निधन आईआईटी बॉम्बे में हम सभी के लिए एक झटका है. वह संस्थान के प्रतिष्ठित पूर्व छात्र थे और आईआईटी बॉम्बे में कई पहलों से भी जुड़े हुए थे.’’
