Mahasamund: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Chandu Lal Sahu (Chandu Bhaiya) from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 1217 votes. The polling / voting in Mahasamund constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 2 on 18 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Chunnilal Sahu and Congress Party#s Dhanendra sahu
