Background

Kendrapara: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Baijayant Panda from Biju Janata Dal (BJD) won the elections by a margin of 209300 votes. The polling / voting in Kendrapara constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Baijayant Panda and Biju Janata Dal#s Anubhav Mohanty

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Biju Janata Dal won 20 out of the 21 parliamentary seat with 44.1 percent vote share while the Bharatiya Janata Party managed to win just 1 seats with a 21.5 percent vote share.
