Giridih: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Ravindra Kumar Pandey from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 40313 votes. The polling / voting in Giridih constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 6 on 12 May. The major contest is between All Jharkhand Students Union#s Chandra Prakash Chaudhary and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha#s Jagarnath Mahato

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 12 out of the 14 parliamentary seat with 40.1 percent vote share while the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha managed to win just 2 seats with a 9.3 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Giridih Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 64.02% Lok Sabha percent with 65.43% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 62.39% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 4879 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 17 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Giridih, 15 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Ravindra Kumar Pandey of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Jagarnath Mahto by a margin of 40313 votes.

• 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha poll, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, JMM candidate Tek Lal Mahto attained 350255 votes and BJP's Ravindra Kumar Pandey bagged 200461 votes.
• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 19824 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Ravindra Kumar Pandey attained 248454 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Rajendra Prasad Singh bagged 228630 votes
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 68791 votes BJP candidate Rabindra Kumar Pandey had got 285523 while INC got Rajendra Prasad Singh votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated JD candidate by a margin of 91663 votes BJP candidate Ravindra Kumar Pandey had got 218188 while JD got Saba Ahmed votes.
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 77803 votes JMM candidate Binod Bihari Mahto had got 228413 while BJP got Ramdas Singh votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Bharatiya Janta Party and Independent here Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated his Independent counterpart with a difference of 8182 votes.
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Independent candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Sarfraj Ahmed attained 195519 votes and IND's Binod Bihari Mahto bagged 70766 votes.

দলবিরোধী কথা বলিনি, আত্মসমালোচনা করতে গিয়েছিলাম। এবার আর গদ্দার শব্দ শুনতে হবে না। এবার মুক্ত আকাশে বাতাস নিতে পারব। তৃণমূল থেকে সাসপেন্ড হওয়ার পর প্রতিক্রিয়া মুকুল পুত্র শুভ্রাংশু রায়ের। এবার বিজেপিতে চলে আসবে তৃণমূলের সাসপেন্ডেড বিধায়ক শুভ্রাংশু রায়। পুরবোর্ডও দখল করবে বিজেপি। দাবি অর্জুন সিংহের।

নিজের গড়ে দুই আসন দখলে রাখতে পারলেও তৃণমূলের মাটি হারানোর ছবি স্পষ্ট বীরভূমে। যদিও খারাপ ফলের দায় সিপিএমের উপরেই চাপিয়েছেন অনুব্রত মণ্ডল। তবে জেলা সভাপতি পদ থেকে পদত্যাগ নয়, বরং কিছুদিন পরিবারের সঙ্গেই কাটাতে চান বলে জানালেন তিনি
