Background

Buxar: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Ashwini Kumar Choubey from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 132338 votes. The polling / voting in Buxar constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 7 on 19 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Ashwini Kumar Choubey and Rashtriya Janata Dal#s jagdanand singh

Buxar 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 22 out of the 40 parliamentary seat with 29.4 percent vote share while the Lok Janshakti Party managed to win just 6 seats with a 6.4 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Buxar Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 54.14% Lok Sabha percent with 56.24% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 51.72% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 9179 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 16 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Buxar, 13 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Ashwini Kumar Choubey of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Jagadanand Singh by a margin of 132338 votes.

  • 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Independent candidate by a margin of 54866 votes BJP candidate Lalmuni Chaubey had got 205980 while IND got Dadan Singh votes.
  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate with a difference of 11606 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Lal Muni Choubey attained 235968 votes and Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Shivanand Tiwary bagged 224362 votes
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate by a margin of 84316 votes BJP candidate Lalmuni Chaubey had got 266961 while RJD got Udai Pratap Singh votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate by a margin of 63764 votes BJP candidate Lal Muni Choubey had got 265427 while CPI got Tej Narain Singh votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 66000 votes CPI candidate Tej Narain Singh had got 234088 while BJP got Kamal Singh votes.
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 37322 votes. Here, Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Tej Narain Singh attained 212596 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Kamal Singh bagged 175274 votes
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate by a margin of 55702 votes INC candidate Kamla Kant Tiwari had got 207732 while CPI got Tej Narayan Singh votes.
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate with a difference of 31724 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader K. K. Tiwari attained 133999 votes and Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate Suraj Prasad bagged 102275 votes
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Rama Nand Tiwary attained 286418 votes and INC's Anant Prasad Sharma bagged 82705 votes.
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated NCO candidate with a difference of 30064 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Anant Prasad Sharma attained 112541 votes and NCO candidate Ram Subhag Singh bagged 82477 votes
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated SSP candidate with a difference of 34223 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader R. S. Singh attained 94032 votes and SSP candidate R. Singh bagged 59809 votes
  • 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and IND here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his IND counterpart with a difference of 5516 votes.
  • 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Independent and INC here Independent candidate defeated his INC counterpart with a difference of 7824 votes.

আমি দেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী ঠিকই কিন্তু আপনাদের আমি সেবক। লোকসভা ভোটে বিপুল জয়ের পর নিজের কেন্দ্র বারাণসীতে গিয়ে বললেন নরেন্দ্র মোদী। নিজের জয়ের সমস্ত কৃতিত্ব দলীয় কর্মীদের দিয়েছেন তিনি, বলেছেন, কাজ ও কর্মীরা বিস্ময় সৃষ্টি করেন। উত্তর প্রদেশই দেশকে রাস্তা দেখাবে, ভবিষ্যৎ প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেছেন। সরকারের সঙ্গে দলের সমন্বয়ের পক্ষেও সওয়াল করেন তিনি।
