Basti: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Harish Chandra Alias Harish Dwivedi from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 33562 votes. The polling / voting in Basti constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 6 on 12 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Harish Dwivedi and Bahujan Samaj Party#s Ram Prasad Choudhary

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

Here, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Lal Mani Prasad attained 155223 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Sriram Chauhan bagged 129849 votes
• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Bharatiya Janta Party and Bahujan Samaj Party here Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated his Bahujan Samaj Party counterpart with a difference of 1832 votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Samajwadi Party candidate by a margin of 70217 votes BJP candidate Shri Ram Chauhan had got 244233 while SP got Kalp Nath Sonkar votes.

• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated JD candidate by a margin of 71465 votes BJP candidate Shyam Lal Kamal had got 160375 while JD got Ram Dularey Sonker votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, JD candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 33219 votes. Here, JD leader Kalpa Nath Sonakar attained 179586 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Ram Awadh Prasad bagged 146367 votes
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated LKD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Ram Awadh Prasad attained 227397 votes and LKD's Ram Dulera Sonkar bagged 72795 votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated JNP(S) candidate with a difference of 26890 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Kalpnath attained 107432 votes and JNP(S) candidate Girdhari Lal bagged 80542 votes
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Sheo Narain attained 216542 votes and INC's Anant Prasad Dhusia bagged 76165 votes.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने वाराणसी लोकसभा सीट 4.75 लाख मतों के अंतर से जीत ली है. मतगणना के बाद मोदी ने कुल 6,69,602 वोट हासिल किए जबकि उनके निकटतम प्रतिद्वंद्वी समाजवादी पार्टी की शालिनी यादव को 1,93,848 और कांग्रेस के अजय राय को 1,51,800 वोट मिले.

कन्नौज में पांचों विधानसभाओ के 15 वे राउंड की मतगणना पूरी हो गई है और एसपी प्रत्याशी डिंपल यादव 15 वे राउंड में पीछे हो गई हैं. बीजेपी प्रत्याशी सुब्रत पाठक 6808 मतों से आगे है. एसपी की डिंपल यादव को अभी तक 252570 वोट मिले हैं और बीजेपी के बीजेपी सुब्रत पाठक 259378 वोटों पर आगे चल रहे हैं.

मिर्जापुर से एनडीए गठबंधन की प्रत्याशी अनुप्रिया पटेल ने बंपर जीत दर्ज की है. मिर्जापुर में पहली बार ऐसा हुआ है जब किसी सांसद ने लगातार दूसरी बार जीत हासिल की है. इसका श्रेय इन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री मोदी को देते हुए कहा कि ऐसा इसलिए हुआ कि प्रधानमंत्री जी ने 5 साल तक गरीबों पर अपना ध्यान रखकर कार्य किया. वे लोगों के जीवन में परिवर्तन लाए और उसी के कारण ये संभव हुआ है. 5 साल तक मोदी सरकार सशक्त व भ्रष्टाचार मुक्त थी.
