Autonomous District: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Biren Singh Engti from Indian National Congress (INC) won the elections by a margin of 24095 votes. The polling / voting in Autonomous District constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 2 on 18 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Harensingh Bey and Congress Party#s Biren singh engti

Autonomous District 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 7 out of the 14 parliamentary seat with 36.5 percent vote share while the All India United Democratic Front managed to win just 3 seats with a 14.8 percent vote share.

  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha poll, ASDC candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, ASDC candidate Dr. Jayanta Rongpi attained 184241 votes and INC's Biren Singh Engti bagged 79377 votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha poll, ASDC candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, ASDC candidate Jayanta Rongpi attained 180112 votes and INC's Elwin Teron bagged 76982 votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, ADC candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 57781 votes ADC candidate Jayanta Rongpi had got 139785 while INC got Biren Singh Engti votes.
