Attingal: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Dr.A .Sampath from Communist Party of India (CPM) won the elections by a margin of 69378 votes. The polling / voting in Attingal constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Communist Party of India (Marxist)#s A. Sampath and Congress Party#s Adoor prakash

Attingal 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Indian National Congress won 8 out of the 20 parliamentary seat with 31.1 percent vote share while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) managed to win just 5 seats with a 21.6 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Attingal Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 68.67% Lok Sabha percent with 68.82% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 68.55% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 6924 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 16 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Attingal, 14 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Dr.A .Sampath of the Communist Party of India as he defeated Adv.Bindhu Krishna by a margin of 69378 votes.
