Alappuzha 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Indian National Congress won 8 out of the 20 parliamentary seat with 31.1 percent vote share while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) managed to win just 5 seats with a 21.6 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Alappuzha Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 78.46% Lok Sabha percent with 78.10% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 78.79% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 11338 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 13 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Alappuzha, 11 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of K C Venugopal of the Indian National Congress as he defeated C B Chandrababu by a margin of 19407 votes.
