Supreme Court Dismisses Plea Seeking Cancellation Of NEET UG 2021 Exam

NEET UG 2021 Exam: While stating out its decision, the apex court said that lakhs of students have appeared in the NEET-UG examination 2021 and the court can not make them suffer.

NEET UG 2021 Exam: The Supreme Court of India on Monday dismissed the plea seeking the cancellation of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2021, due to alleged paper leak and malpractices. While stating out its decision, the apex court said that lakhs of students have appeared in the NEET-UG examination 2021 and the court can not make them suffer, therefore the NEET UG exam 2021 held on September 12, 2021, will not be cancelled.

A bench led by Justices L Nageswara Rao and BR Gavai was hearing the petition today. The bench said the petitioners are 'adventurous' and the bench further said that the "instances of impersonation and paper leakage cannot be a detriment to the lakhs of students who have appeared for the exam."

"Supreme Court dismisses a plea seeking cancellation of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test undergraduate exam (NEET-UG) held on September 12, 2021, due to alleged paper leak and malpractices," ANI tweeted on Monday.

The NEET-UG 2021 results are expected to be declared soon by the National Testing Agency. Once the results are announced, candidates who have appeared in the NEET-UG 2021 examination will be able to check their results by visiting the official website at neet.nta.nic.in.

Meantime, the agency had begun the second phase of NEET-UG registration on Friday, October 1, 2021. This year, medical candidates will have to fill the second set of applications for NEET UG. This has been done so that the data of medical candidates can be collected quickly. Candidates should note that the application window for NEET Phase 2 will remain open till October 10.
