Class 12 Exam Marksheet 2021: SC Orders All State Board To Prepare Class 12th Results By July 31
Class 12 Exam Marksheet 2021: A bench led by Justices A M Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari observed that there can't be fit to all schemes to evaluate the class 12 results 2021, and each board is free to come up with its own objective criterion based on which the class 12 results 2021 will be finalised.
Class 12 Exam Marksheet 2021: The Supreme Court of India on Thursday directed all the state boards to declare the results of the class 12 students by July 31, 2021. A bench led by Justices A M Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari observed that there can't be fit to all schemes to evaluate the class 12 results 2021, and each board is free to come up with its own objective criterion based on which the class 12 results 2021 will be finalised.
The bench further said that it will not give any directions to come up with the uniform assessment scheme across the country. However, the court directed the state boards to ensure to come up with the evaluation criterion at the earliest and not later than ten days from June 24, 2021.
“We direct the boards to ensure that the scheme be formulated at the earliest and not later than 10 days from today and also declare the internal assessment results by July 31, 2021, like the time line specified for CBSE and CISCE,” the bench was quoted by PTI in its report.
“We make it clear that each board may formulate their own scheme. However, we further make it clear that we are not endorsing the correctness and validity of the scheme that will be formulated by the concerned board,” the bench said.
In the hearing, the apex court was informed by the advocate appearing for the petitioners that state boards that have canceled the class 12 board examinations due to the covid-19 pandemic may be asked to have a uniform objective criterion for evaluating class 12 students.
“That may not be acceptable because every state board has its own scheme. It cannot be uniform. We are not going to direct for a uniform scheme. Each board will have to evolve their own scheme,” the bench said.
