The awarding of the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or eligibility for Assistant Professorship is based on the aggregate performance of candidates in Paper-I and Paper-II of the UGC-NET. Those who pass the eligibility test for Assistant Professorship must adhere to the rules and regulations of the respective universities, colleges, or state governments for recruitment.
