CBSE Class 10 Exam Results To Be Tentatively Announced By Third Week Of June, Reveals Board

According to the policy, 80 marks will be calculated on basis of the students’ performance in various tests or exams throughout the year while 20 marks for each subject will be for internal assessment as every year.

New Delhi: Announcing a policy for the tabulation of marks for cancelled Class X board examinations based on the internal assessment conducted by schools, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to announce the results tentatively by the third week of June.

According to the policy, 80 marks will be calculated on basis of the students’ performance in various tests or exams throughout the year while 20 marks for each subject will be for internal assessment as every year.

CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said the “schools will also have to ensure that the marks awarded by them should be in consonance with past performance of the school in class 10 board exams”, adding the “schools will have to form an eight-member committee headed by principal for finalising results”.

“Schools indulging in unfair and biased practices for assessment will have to face penalty or disaffiliation,” PTI quoted Bhardwaj as saying.
