Background

CBSE 10th Result 2023 Updates: The Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE has released the CBSE Class 10 Result 2023 and CBSE Class 12 Result 2023. Students can check their results on the official websites of the Board at resuts.cbse.nic.in or cbseresuts.nic.in. Students need to use roll number, school number and admit card ID as login credentials. In class 10, 93.12 percent students passed, which is betters than pass percentage of 91.10 percent of 2019 in the pre-covid period.

Girls recorded a pass percentage of 94.25 percent, while the passing percentage for boys is 92.27 percent. Girls have done better than boys by 1.98 percent.

In class 12, The overall pass percentage is 87.33 percent. This year the overall pass percentage of girls is higher than boys. The girls pass percentage is 90.68 percent and boys pass percentage is 84.67 percent.

CBSE has not announced the CBSE board Class 10, 12 toppers and merit list to discourage unhealthy competition among students. In addition, CBSE will not be awarding first, second or third divisions to its students. Only the 0.1 percent of students who secure the highest marks in the subjects will be awarded the CBSE Class 10 merit list.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan congratulated the class 12 students.

“Heartily congratulate my young friends who have cleared the #CBSE Class XII examinations. It is a moment to rejoice the success and cherish the fruits of hard work that you put all year round. Best wishes for a happy and bright future,” Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted. 

Education Minister said, "Many friends might not have met expectations. I appeal to them to not lose heart. One examination does not define a person’s ability. Keep working hard and chase your dreams. Success comes to those who never give up."

"Over the years, a striking feature of the results have been the performance of girl students. Gladdening to learn that this year also girls have outshone boys. More reasons for us as a society to remove all barriers to girls’ education," Pradhan added.

CBSE 10th Result 2023: Trivandrum Best Performing Region

Trivandrum region outperformed the other 15 regions with an overall pass percentage of 99.91% for both Class 10 and 12. Bengaluru and Chennai secured the second and third positions respectively for both CBSE Class 10 and 12 results 2023.

PM Modi Congratulates Students

PM Modi congratulated the class 10, 12 students.

"I congratulate all the #ExamWarriors who have successfully passed the CBSE Class XII examinations. I am proud of these youngsters for their hardwork and determination. I also congratulate their parents and teachers for their monumental role in the success of the youngsters," PM Narendra Modi tweeted.
 
"I would like to tell those bright youngsters who feel they could have done better in the Class XII exams - you have so much more to look forward to in the coming times. One set of exams doesn’t define you. Harness your talents in areas you are passionate about. You will shine!," PM said in another tweet.
