Every year, Prime Minister Modi conducts the Pariksha Pe Charcha session to interact with students appearing for their board exams. The interacting session aims at relieving exam stress among such students. The Pariksha Pe Charcha session features participating students from Class 9 to 12.
As per Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, this year, around 38.80 lakh students have registered for the Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023, which is more than twice the number of registrations received last year (15.73 lahk).
Among the massive pool of registered candidates for the pre-examination session with PM Modi, around 16 lakh students are from State Boards. Moreover, registrations for the PPC 2023 have been received from 155 countries.
The Union Minister has also said that around 20 lakh questions have been received so far, and the NCERT has shortlisted several questions to be discussed at the event, ranging from stress management, family pressure, prevention of unfair means, career selection, how to stay fit and healthy, and others.
Moreover, around 80 winners of the Kala Utsav Competition and 102 students from across the country will also be attending the event. The previous iterations of Pariksha Pe Charcha were physically attended only by teachers and students from Delhi-NCR.
These 2000-odd students and teachers from around the country also attended the Republic Day parade on January 26. They will also attend the Beating Retreat Ceremony on January 29, 2023.
“These guest students and teachers will be taken to places of national importance like the Rajghat, Sadaiv Atal, Prime Minister’s Museum, Kartavya Path etc to make them acquainted with our rich legacy,” the Education Minister added.

Teacher Asks How Should Student Behave In A Society?
PM Modi replies, “After completing their 10th and 12th exams, students should be given the opportunity to travel to different places and write about their experiences. This will provide them with the opportunity to explore and learn about different cultures, societies and people. Restrictions should be kept to a minimum, allowing students to broaden their horizons and expand their understanding of the world.”
“Free your child, let him treasure the liberty, the freedom; give your child the open skies, the ample opportunities to grow and develop. Remain concerned about the way and directions of his steps, but let him walk freely, with high spirits devoid of any limits.” He added.

"Teachers should foster a positive relationship with their students and encourage their curiosity. When a student asks a question, it is an opportunity for learning and growth. Instead of discouraging their inquiry, teachers should encourage students to do their own research to find the correct information." says PM Modi.

While replying to the question of how to learn more languages, PM Modi said, "I am proud that Tamil, one of the oldest languages belongs to India. We should try to learn a few lines of a number of languages. Young people have a knack for learning a language fast. If you know even a few lines of other people's language it brings u closer to them."

PM Modi replies, "Be extrovert apart from being focussed. India is a country full of diversity and we should be proud of it. Every language is a window to thousands of years of experience and wisdom.”
