NEET UG 2022: 18.7 Lakh Aspirants To Attempt Medical Exam Today — Details

NEET-UG 2022: Over record 18.72 lakh candidates, and 10. 64 lakh women will appear for NEET-UG 2022 which will be conducted in pen-paper mode.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency, NTA, is set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate, NEET UG 2022, today, July 17. The exam would be conducted from 2:00 pm to 5:20 pm across 543 cities in the country and 14 cities outside India. Candidates must report at least an hour ahead of the exam at their centres. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination centre after the gates are closed.

Over record 18.72 lakh candidates, and 10. 64 lakh women will appear for NEET-UG 2022, according to an ANI report. It is a uniform entrance examination for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses. 

The entrance test will comprise four subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.  Each subject in the NEET paper 2022 will consist of two sections with internal choices in one section. Candidates will have to answer 180 multiple choice questions (MCQs). For each correct answer. +4 marks for awarded, -1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer and no marks will be awarded in case a question is left unattempted.

Aside from this, if questions have more than one correct option or all options are found to be correct then +4 marks will be awarded. The NEET-UG 2022 will be conducted in pen and paper mode in 13 different languages, including Urdu, English, Hindi, Marathi, Assamese, Odia, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Candidates who haven’t downloaded their admit cards can still do so by visiting the official website – neet.nta.nic.in by entering their application number and date of birth. Aside from the admit card, aspirants must carry 2 passport-size photos and any one of the valid photo IDs issued by the Government.

Covid-19 guidelines must be followed, candidates must carry a hand sanitizer, use the N95 masks provided at the centre and maintain social distance.
